NIS Apprentice Shines at National Competition

We are incredibly proud of Kian Brocken for winning Silver in the Welding category at the WorldSkills UK National Finals!

After months of preparation and two days of intense competition, Kian was presented with his medal at the International Convention Centre Wales in Newport last Friday. Currently in the second year of his Fabrication and Welding apprenticeship with NIS and Blackburn-based training provider Training 2000, Kian has already established himself as an important member of the NIS Welding team and this achievement is a testament to his exceptional skill, dedication and professionalism.

This year’s Finals brought together more than 400 talented individuals across 40+ skill categories, from digital technologies, advanced manufacturing and engineering to hospitality, creative arts and health science.

Congratulations, Kian — and well done to all the other winners and finalists for showcasing the best of UK talent!

Congratulations Kian Brocken!
