About us

Delivering high quality, bespoke products and services across a broad range of markets.

Established in 1983, we have a long and proud track record of delivering high quality, often bespoke, products and services across a broad range of markets.

From initial contact through to work completion, our Excellent People offer customer focused, pragmatic engineering services. Although bespoke solutions are one of our specialities, we also recognise the benefits of utilising and integrating existing technologies. Frequently drawing on our many years of experience and diverse industry presence, our focus is to deliver value-for-money engineering excellence to our current and future clients.

We are privileged to work for a wide variety of prestigious clients on some of the most exciting and complex engineering projects in the world. From cleaning up nuclear legacies to developing the next generation of security scanning products, the one thing all our projects demand is excellence in engineering and manufacturing.

Achieving that excellence is at the forefront of everything we do, working to the values that we have embedded within our people. This ensures that we perform to the very best of our collective abilities to deliver pragmatic, cost-effective services – powered by pride.

Standards

We are passionate about the safety of our people, our environment, our communities and our industries. There is nothing more important to us than the safety of all our people in all that they do.

Health and Safety

We take the management of health and safety extremely seriously and strive to ensure it is ingrained within our culture and paramount in all of our activities. Our integrated management system includes a comprehensive suite of health and safety policies and procedures and is fully accredited to ISO 45001:2018. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and are proud to have been awarded the ROSPA Gold Award annually since 2006. Risk management is a high priority for us and risk assessments are carried out at various stages of the project life cycle. We have NEBOSH-qualified staff who carry out risk assessments and ensure measures are put in place to mitigate against, and control, risks arising.

Environmental

We are totally committed to the care of the environment and this goal is achieved at all levels through the operation of an integrated management system which is appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impact of our activities, products and services, in line with BS EN ISO 14001:2015. It is maintained by a series of internal audits, management reviews and independent external audits.

Quality

We are committed to providing our clients with a first-class engineering service through effective teamwork, quality procedures and a long-term commitment to continuous improvement. Our integrated management system is accredited to IS0 9001:2015 and is subject to regular management reviews to ensure its continued effectiveness. We are also accredited with EN ISO 3834 and EN 1090 Execution Class 4, the European standard which regulates the fabrication and assembly of steel and aluminium structures.

Security

We recognise our responsibility to ensure all company, client and nationally sensitive information of which we are exposed to in our line of work are duly protected. As you would expect from our many years of experience working within the nuclear industry, we have a well-established security system and place contractual obligations on all our employees to ensure it is upheld.

Social impact

We are extremely proud of the activities we undertake to support our industries, schools and local community groups.

Our award-winning STEM programme has seen us engage and positively impact young people all over the UK, as well as helping to develop and grow our own talent pool for the future.

We have a proud track record of leading and delivering socio-economic programmes of work, particularly in support of the National Nuclear Skills Agenda. Through the implementation of our well-established Social Impact Policy and Programme, we recognise our responsibilities to our communities, people, industries and environment and are committed to continually improving the benefits they deliver.

Our approach is holistic, in that our primary aim is to support the national strategy and then tailor specific activities to meet more specific client or geographical requirements. Having worked within the nuclear sector for over 35 years, we understand the unique socio-economic challenges many of the sites face and we continually review our activities to ensure they meet industry-specific aspirations and expectations as well as our own.
