Changes to the NIS Board of Directors

Following an exciting and transformational 12 months, it is with very mixed emotions that we must announce changes to the NIS Executive Team.

Gary Ward, our Operations Director, will be leaving us on the 10th October as he has made the very difficult decision to return to a Major Project environment. Whilst Gary has only been with us for a short period of time, he has had a significant and positive impact on the business, and we are extremely grateful for the contribution he has made.

However, we are delighted to announce that we will welcome Steve Rothwell into the Operations Director role. Steve has almost 30 years of experience working within engineering and manufacturing organisations, predominantly in procurement and commercial roles, and we are confident that his Leadership style, drive and industry experience will be a huge asset as we continue to develop and enhance the business.

Speaking about his departure Gary said “It’s been an incredible 12 months working with Gill, David and the team, and whilst it hasn’t been without its challenges, it has been rewarding to see the business respond to change and grow. It’s been a very difficult decision for me to make, but the time now feels right for me to hand over the reins to Steve for him to continue embedding excellence across the organisation”. Steve added “I’ve known and respected NIS for a long time so I’m really looking forward to embracing the challenges and opportunities that exist within the business. I’m excited to be joining as part of the executive team and being able to play a key part in continuing to drive the business plan.”
