The good news keeps on coming as we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a contract with the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) for the modification and re-purposing of a suite of nuclear gloveboxes.
Gill Marsden, NIS Managing Director said “NNL are a long-standing client with their main laboratory on the Sellafield site home to a whole host of gloveboxes that we have previously designed and/or manufactured over the last two decades. We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and look forward to working with the NNL team”.
The project supports the Hot Isostatic Pressing experiment (HIP100) at NNL, and the scope of the contract will see NIS modify, refurbish, fit out and test five containment systems before delivering to one of the NNL facilities for trials.
Gill added “This is a particularly important win for us as, when combined with our other projects in this specialist field, we are another step closer to achieving our vision of becoming the UK Centre of Excellence for Glovebox Manufacture”.
