Welder

We are currently recruiting for Welders to join our welding and fabrication team, welding to approved procedures within the NIS Quality Assurance system and environmental requirements.

Below is an outline of duties and responsibilities:

  • To carry out all aspects of welding according to drawing requirement, NIS procedures and to client specification.
  • Immediate notification to the Fabrication Team Leader or Welding Charge Hand of any welding problems.
  • Liaise with Fabrication Team Leader and Welding Charge Hand to ensure contractual and quality requirements within the schedule are maintained, through project completion.
  • Carry out, as instructed, any task as deemed reasonable by the Fabrication & Welding Team Leader or the Welding Charge Hand. 
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times, following health and safety procedures.

For this role, it is essential for applicants to have a City & Guilds Fabrication and Welding Level 3 or NVQ Level 3.

Security clearance

We request that before applying for this position that you review the requirements necessary for the Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) clearance (available here) and [Security Check (SC) clearance (available here)] OR [Developed Vetting (DV) clearance (available here)] to ensure that you satisfy the relevant criteria. Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and if applicable a Security Check (SC) OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as set out above. These applications will be funded by us.
