Digital Mechanical Inspector

We are now recruiting for a time served Mechanical Engineer/machinist, to join us as a Digital Mechanical Inspector, helping us to inspect fabricated, manufactured components and materials to drawing requirements/ specifications.

Reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager and working in close collaboration with the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating digital measuring equipment, assessing measurements to drawing requirements and reporting findings.
  • Performing final and interstage dimensional inspections and supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities.
  • Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
  • Responsibility for the inspection of components/ products and auditing processes.
  • Assist in the development of necessary documentation and control of documentation.
  • Analyse and report on materials, processes and products.
  • Inspection, verification and certification of materials.
  • Calibration of measuring equipment and record keeping.
  • Review documentation for lifetime quality records.
