World Quality Day

World quality day was on November 9 this year and NIS are proud to announce that they did……NOTHING!

Nothing different!

Now I can already hear all the “Are you serious”? “Why”? “Haven’t you missed the point”? “Why no special event”?

But no, we did nothing different for a reason. Quality is the way we do things round here. It starts with the MD Gill Marsden, the Directors David Brown, Gary Ward and Howard Entwistle who lead the business with our vision “To be excellent together” and, mission “Excellence in engineering and manufacturing – powered by pride”, totally integrated in everything we do, through our core values of “Respect, Protect, Commit, and Inspire”.

The leadership team have continual focus on quality starting from Learning from Experience and finishing from yes you guessed it Learning from Experience. It’s the most obvious place to start and finish, isn’t it?

Over the past four years the business has continually transformed with the assistance of the CNSIG team but we are still on our journey, we challenge ourselves and everything we do always looking for improvement. Everyone is empowered to challenge and make change, change is good, it delivers value. We challenged all areas of the business, it’s like pushing on an open door! it’s so refreshing!

So, as we roll past this year’s World Quality Day our challenge is to get to World quality day 2018 and still have the same drive and enthusiasm to be able to challenge the norm and do nothing except a nod and wink of acknowledgement that Quality is the way we do things round here, and continue to be excellent together.
